About Us
The Swim Gym program is Edmonton’s most popular children’s sport program with 1
out of every 10 Edmonton children participating.
Designed by Olympic and International level coaches to enhance sport performance,
the Swim Gym program develops physical strength, endurance, flexibility, speed,
aerobic capacity, body awareness, aerial orientation and balance.
The Swim Gym program includes Red Cross swimming lessons and diving lessons, trampoline
and gymnastics instruction as well as other fitness through fun activities. At a
time when the trend is toward insufficient opportunities for vigorous physical activity,
Swim Gym participants are reversing this trend. The Swim Gym program is designed
for children 6 to 13, at the very age that motor learning and physical development
is at its greatest potential for improvement.
Three hours of physical activity and skill development are achieved efficiently by
changing sports every 45 minutes so that different physical and mental abilities
are developed in each period of training. The variety not only energizes, but creates
exciting new challenges and fun. Many of our Swim Gym graduates have gone on to
be National Sport Champions and International competitors. All of our Swim Gym graduates
have improved their fitness and found the joy of sport in their life.
